TeslaPower AG (“TeslaPower”, “we”, “our” or “us”) keeps the use of cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels, tags and scripts (collectively, “Cookies”), on its website (the “Services”) to a minimum. We do not use Cookies for analytics, advertising or personalisation, and we do not track our visitors (“you” or “your”) across websites.
This page contains information on what Cookies are, which Cookies can be set on our Services, how to reject or remove them, and some useful links for further reading on the subject. If you are unable to find the information you were looking for, or you have any further questions about the use of Cookies on our Services, please email privacy@teslapower.com
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored through the browser on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They allow the site to store information like login information or language preference. You can think of Cookies as providing a so-called memory for the website, so that it can recognize you when you come back and respond appropriately. You do not have to accept any Cookies in order to visit our website: all of its pages work without them.
2. How do we use Cookies?
When you browse our website, we only remember your answer in the cookie banner, and our pages do not load any content from third parties unless you agree to it. The typeface is served from our own server, so no connection to Google Fonts is made.
Cookies and local storage are only used in the following cases:
Essential Cookies: When one of our employees signs in to the content management system at /admin/ to edit the website, we set a Cookie that protects the sign-in, and the content management system keeps the sign-in in the browser’s local storage. Visitors who do not sign in never receive them.
Your answer in the cookie banner: On your first visit, a banner asks whether the map on our contact page may load. We remember your answer in your browser’s local storage, so that the banner does not ask again. The answer stays in your browser, is not sent to us and does not identify you. You can change it at any time under “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of every page.
Third-party content: The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps. It only loads if you accept it in the cookie banner, or if you click on the map after declining (this click applies to that one visit of the page). Once it is loaded, Google may set its own Cookies and receives information such as your IP address. How Google handles this data is described in Google’s privacy policy.
3. How long do Cookies last?
The length of time a Cookie stays on your device varies according to its purpose.
A Cookie that remains on your device after your session is concluded (until it expires or is deleted) is called a “Persistent Cookie”. Persistent Cookies are used for purposes such as keeping a sign-in or remembering your preferences.
A Cookie that is automatically deleted once your session is concluded is called a “Session Cookie”. Session Cookies are used for the duration of your stay on a site and are automatically deleted when you exit the browser.
How long the Cookies we set last is listed in the table below. How long the Cookies set by Google last is described in how Google uses cookies.
4. Which Cookies do we use?
| Cookie Source | Purpose | Description |
|---|---|---|
| TeslaPower (cms-oauth-state) | Essential | Only set when an employee signs in to the content management system. Protects the sign-in against forgery and is deleted once the sign-in is complete, after 10 minutes at the latest. |
| TeslaPower (local storage of the content management system) | Essential | Only used for employees signed in to the content management system. Keeps the sign-in and their settings until they sign out. |
| TeslaPower (local storage: teslapower-consent) | Essential | Remembers whether you accepted or declined the map in the cookie banner, until you change your answer under “Cookie Settings” or clear your browser’s storage. |
| Google Maps | Third-party content | Only set by Google once the map on our contact page has loaded, because you accepted it in the cookie banner or clicked on it. |
5. How can you reject or remove Cookies?
Apart from remembering your answer in the cookie banner, our website does not store anything in your browser while you browse it. If you do not want Google to set Cookies, decline in the cookie banner and do not load the map on our contact page. If you accepted earlier, you can withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of every page. Cookies that Google has already set can be deleted in your browser settings.
You can also adjust your web browser settings, usually located in the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ menu of your browser. In order to delete stored Cookies or to change these settings, the following links may be helpful:

7. How we treat Do Not Track (DNT) signals
Various browsers allow a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) setting, which sends a signal to the websites you visit that you do not want to be tracked. As our website does not track you, there is nothing these signals would need to switch off: your choice is respected whether or not your browser sends them.
